dr. Anas Ma'ruf is the Head of the Data and Information Center of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. Previously, he has served as the Head of Harbor Health Office – Class I, Soekarno Hatta (2017-2020) dan similar role in Batam (2016-2017).
Prof. Corneliu Bjola
Associate Professor of Diplomatic Studies, University of Oxford
Corneliu Bjola is Associate Professor in Diplomatic Studies at the University of Oxford and Head of the Oxford Digital Diplomacy Research Group. He also serves as a Faculty Fellow at the Center on Public Diplomacy at the University of Southern California and as a Professorial Lecturer at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. He has published extensively on issues related to the impact of digital technology on the conduct of diplomacy with a recent focus on public diplomacy, international negotiations, and methods for countering digital propaganda. His recent co-edited volume "Digital Diplomacy and International Organizations: Autonomy, Legitimacy and Contestation” (Routledge, 2020) examines the broader ramifications of digital technologies on the internal dynamics, multilateral policies, and strategic engagements of international organisations.
Ms. Femmy Soemantri
Pulse Lab Jakarta, Indonesia
Femmy Soemantri is the Partnerships and Advocacy Lead at Pulse Lab Jakarta since August 2020. Prior to joining the Lab, she worked with the British Council, leading on the Science portfolio. Among other experiences include working with the ASEAN Secretariat and the UN World Food Programme, where she developed understanding in data use for decision making. She believed that data not only tells powerful stories, but it can also reveal missing elements, and by connecting the dots using data, the insights can be utilised to improve people's lives.
Dr. Stephen MacFeely
Director of Data and Analytics, World Health Organization
Steve MacFeely is the Director of Data and Analytics at the World Health Organization. He is also Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Policy Studies at University College Cork in Ireland and the Director of the IASE International Statistical Literacy Program.
He is co-chair of the Committee of the Chief Statisticians of the UN System (CCS-UN), chairs the Advisory Board of the Statistical Journal of the IAOS, and is a member of the statistical advisory panel to the UNDP Human Development Index. He is an elected member of the International Statistics Institute.
He was a co-lead on the Data Strategy of the Secretary-General for Action by Everyone, Everywhere 2020 – 2022, and a lead author of the 2020 System-wide Roadmap for Innovating UN Data and Statistics.
Before joining WHO, Steve was the Head of Statistics and Information at UNCTAD. Prior to joining the UN, he was the Deputy Director-General at the Central Statistics Office (CSO) in Ireland and Programme Director of the joint CSO - Institute of Public Administration ‘Professional Diploma in Official Statistics & Policy Evaluation’.
